
O'Connor Takes First Place at West Liberty Invitational
BETHANY, W.Va. – Point Park sophomore Cassondra O'Connor took first place at Thursday's West Liberty Invitational to lead the Pioneers to a fourth-place team finish.
O'Connor turned in a time of 18:59 in the 5k race. Seniors Sophia Lee-Hauser (20:15) and Corinne Lee-Houser (20:36) also turned in top 25 finishes for the Pioneers, finishing 16th and 24th, respectively in the race.
Kutztown took first place in the team standings, placing four runners in the top 10. West Virginia Wesleyan finished second, led by senior Leigha Hall with a runner-up individual finish for the Bobcats. Glenville State rounded out the top three, placing three runners in the top 20, including a third and fourth place finish by Natalie Barr and Jenna Barnett, respectively.

The Pioneers return to action on Saturday, Sept. 14 at the Robert Morris Colonial Invitational. The women's race is set for 9:45 a.m. at Youthtowne Fields in Clinton, Pa.
