Bielich was hired as Point Park University's volleyball head coach on Jan. 24, 2018. Bielich was the Pioneers' assistant coach the last three years, and she was the interim head coach to conclude the 2017 season. The 2018 season will be her first year as head coach.

Bielich came to Point Park in 2015, and she helped to continue a tradition of success for the program. The Pioneers have made the NAIA national tournament twice during Bielich's time on campus -- in 2015 and 2016 -- and she coached the Pioneers during their 2017 River States Conference Tournament quarterfinals appearance.

"We are excited about Bridget's potential as our new head coach," said Point Park Director of Athletics Dan Swalga at the time of her hire. "She will provide the leadership we need in a program that has enjoyed tremendous success over the last decade. We look forward to her taking us to another level within the program."

"I am extremely excited and grateful for this opportunity," said Bielich. "Point Park has a very successful legacy for both volleyball and academics, and I am looking forward to continuing to grow the program to new heights."

Bielich's resume includes eight years as a volleyball coach. In addition to the last three years at Point Park, she has been involved on the club and high school levels throughout the Pittsburgh area.

On the club level, she is currently the Director of Volleyball for the P3R Volleyball Club, one of the top clubs in the area. She is also a head coach for that organization. Bielich has been involved with the Southwest PA Volleyball Club and PIttsburgh Elite during her club-coaching career. Bielich has experience coaching on the high school level as a former assistant coach for the Oakland Catholic High School girls' team.

Bielich, a native of Bethel Park, Pa., had an oustanding playing career at California University of Pennsylvania. A four-year starter for Cal U, she was a part of three PSAC championships and two trips to the NCAA Division II Elite 8. During her career, she earned two all-conference accolades and one appearance on the AVCA All-Region First Team. Bielich amassed 980 career kills and ranks second all-time in career hitting percentage for the Vulcans.

Point Park volleyball has been one of the top teams in its conference for the last several years. The Pioneers have reached the NAIA national tournament four times since 2011, including a run of three years in a row from 2014-16.
