NCAA DII Seton Hill tops Pioneers, Wallace goes over 1,000 career assists

GREENSBURG, Pa. -- Elise Wallace went over the 1,000-career assist milestone despite a loss to NCAA Division II Seton Hill on Tuesday from Point Park University volleyball.

Wallace, a four-year player from Salem, Ohio, and West Branch HS, now has 1,004 assists in her Point Park career. That's after picking up 18 in Tuesday's match. Wallace has racked up the milestone in 70 career matches.

Seton Hill won the match, 25-13, 25-15, 25-14 in what was the final road match of the year for the Pioneers. Point Park concludes the season at home this weekend versus WVU Tech on Friday (7:00 p.m.) and Alice Lloyd (Ky.) on Saturday (12:00 p.m.).

With Wallace going over her career milestone, the Pioneers now have two setters on the same team with over 1,000-career assists. Ashlynn Gulakowski surpassed the same mark last week.

Amanda Contois led Point Park with eight kills and a .294 percentage. Giulia Follador added six kills. Wallace chipped in four kills and six digs on her night.

Mia Arndt had a career-high 12 digs for the Pioneers, which matched Eden McElhaney for the team lead.

Seton Hill had Cate Flohr with a big match of 14 kills and just one error in 25 attempts. That resulted in a .520 percentage. Abby Osterling totaled 20 assists and 11 digs.

Point Park will honor its four seniors on Senior Day -- Ashlynn Gulakowski, Amanda Contois, Kenzie Zauner and Giulia Follador
