
Point Park women's track and field prepare for Nationals; competes in two final meets
Point Park Universities women's track and field team competed at the Allegheny Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational and the Baldwin-Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight for their final tune-ups before the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships beginning on May 22nd in Marion, Indiana
Allegheny Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational
Only two members of the women's track and field team traveled to Meadville to compete in the Allegheny Marty Goldberg Gator Invitational.
Allison Plassio ran the 800 meter in 2:20.20 to take home first for the Pioneers.
The only other Point Park member to compete at the invite was Eden McElhaney who placed sixth in the javelin with a throw of 33.68 meters.
Baldwin-Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight
Four members of the women's track and field team traveled to the Baldwin-Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight.
Diamond Rush placed third in the 200 meter with a time of 24.75 to hit the NAIA B standard.
Natalea Hillen ran multiple events for Point Park. In the 100 meter hurdles Hillen placed sixth with a time of 14.99. Hillen also competed in the 400 meter hurdles where she hit the NAIA A standard with a time of 1:03.84 to take third place.
Allison Plassio raced in the 1500 meter where she finished with a time of 4:45.97 respectively.
Emma Pavelek was the only Pioneer to compete in a field event on the day. Pavalek competed in the high jump where she jumped 1.66 meters to hit the NAIA B standard.

Point Park women's track and field members who qualified for Nationals will be traveling to the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Indiana Wesleyan University from May 22nd through the 24th in Marion, Indiana.
