PITTSBURGH – Point Park's Klara Bring scored a goal in the 61st minute to force a draw with West Liberty, 1-1, on Saturday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.
With the result, Point Park moves to 0-3-2 on the season, including 0-2-1 in MEC play. West Liberty is now 1-3-1 overall and 0-1-1 in league play.
West Liberty found the back of the net first as Maya Taggart scored with an assist from Mia Zecca in the fourth minute.
After trailing 1-0 at the half, Point Park finally knotted the score with Bring's goal, which was assisted by a pass from Cara Spry.
Point Park held a 19-7 advantage in total shots in the game, including a 11-3 edge in shots on goal.
Bring fired four shots on goal for the Pioneers on Saturday afternoon, while Gillianne Stewardson recorded two.
Point Park's Frederieke Rijlaarsdam played all 90 minutes in the Point Park goal and finished the afternoon with two saves. West Liberty goalkeeper Cianna Butera recorded 10 saves on the afternoon for the Hilltoppers.
Point Park remains at home to host Fairmont State on Wednesday evening in MEC action. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m. at Highmark Stadium.
