Point Park Women's Soccer Picked 4th In MEC North Division
PITTSBURGH – The Point Park women's soccer team was voted fourth in the Mountain East Conference North Division Poll, the league announced following a vote of the league's head coaches.
The 2024 season will be the first for Point Park women's soccer as a member of the Mountain East Conference, as the University enters year one of the NCAA Division II membership process.
PPU went 11-5-4 a season ago, advancing to the semifinals of the River States Conference Tournament. The Pioneer return a pair of first team all-conference selections from the RSC in 2023, including goalkeeper Maggie Pappas and defender Orsi Tatai. Point Park will have to replace its top two goal scorers from a season ago, but returns midfielder Vanessa Vazquez after her seven goal campaign last fall.
