Gnass earns RSC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Abigail Gnass from Point Park (Pa.) University was selected for River States Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 11-17. 

A junior defender from Rochester Hills, Mich., Gnass keyed two wins for the Pioneers with many tackles as outside back. Point Park won 3-1 over Lourdes with the only goal come in the final two minutes. There was also a 10-1 win at Washington Adventist when the Pioneers scored 10 unanswered goals. 

The two wins on the week pushed the Pioneers to 3-2-2 overall heading into River States Conference play. The defense has been a key with Point Park giving up only eight goals in the seven games thus far.
