Piccolino's career-high at Alice Lloyd (Ky.) nets RSC Women's Basketball Player of the Week

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Gillian Piccolino from Point Park (Pa.) University is the River States Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 12-18.

The senior guard from Pittsburgh, Pa., scored a career-high 32 points in the only game of the week for the Pioneers. She made six 3-pointers, shot 50 percent from the field (13 for 26) and also grabbed nine rebounds.

Piccolino made a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to bring the Pioneers back from a nine-point deficit and force overtime. Alice Lloyd (Ky.) won the game in the extra period, 77-73. 

Piccolino has started all 24 games for the Pioneers this year after transferring in from Kennesaw State (Ga.). She is leading Point Park in scoring at 16.6 ppg and has made 69 3-pointers.
