McKenna Sets School Record at Robert Morris Invitational

CLINTON, Pa. – The Point Park men's cross country team finished sixth at Saturday's Robert Morris Invitational at Youthtowne Fields in Clinton, Pa.

Luke McKenna led the Pioneers with a 14th place finish on Saturday, turning in a time of 25:47.2. The time is a Point Park program record for 8k races. Elijah James was the second Pioneer to cross the finish line in 44th place, while Jannik Windelband finished in 51st position.

Carnegie Mellon topped the team leaderboard with 23 points, followed by Walsh (58), Mount Union (111), IUP (126) and Robert Morris (152) in the top five. CMU placed five runners in the top 10.

Individually, Walsh's Mitchel Dunham took first place with a time of 24:55.52. The Carnegie Mellon trio of Anthony Toskin, Matthew Coyle and Ryan Podnar finished in the second through fourth positions in the race.

Point Park will return to competition on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the 23rd annual Lock Haven Cross Country Invitational. The men's race is set for 10 a.m. at the West Branch Course in Lock Haven.
