CHAMPS! Point Park Men's & Women's Track & Field win RSC Indoor T&F Championships!!
LOGAN, Ohio -- The Point Park University track & field teams are bringing the championship hardware back to Pittsburgh once again.
The Pioneers teams swept the River States Conference Men's & Women's Indoor Track & Field Championships on Saturday from the Chieftain Center in Logan, Ohio. It was the seventh RSC indoor title in a row for the women with a record point total of 240.50 points while it was the sixth crown in seven years and the fourth in a row for the men with 224 points.
Point Park had many individual award winners as well with Allison Plassio earning RSC Women's Track Athlete of the Year, Akeem Mustapha winning RSC Men's Field Athlete of the Year and RSC Men's Track & Field Newcomer of the Year, Diamond Rush getting RSC Women's Track & Field Newcomer of the Year and head coach Tim Creamer selected RSC Men's & Women's Track & Field Coach of the Year.
