
Point Park and Charleston to Face Off for the Second Time
PITTSBURGH- Point Park will face off for the second time this season against Charleston (W.Va.) in a MEC matchup slated for a 5:30 pm start time on Wednesday afternoon at Highmark Stadium.
The Pioneers are coming into Wednesday's game with a 5-7-1 overall record and 3-7-1 in MEC play while Charleston comes into the match with a 12-0-1 overall record and a 9-0 MEC record.
In their first matchup of the season on September 11, Charleston outlasted the Pioneers 1-0 as Charleston's Caio Moraes found the back of the net in the 33rd minute for the games loan goal. In goal Point Park's David Ali made seven saves for the Pioneers.

• Point Park dropped two close back-to-back road MEC matchups last week to Concord (2-1) and Wheeling (1-0).
• In the matchup versus Concord, Nils Benning scored the Pioneers loan goal in the 15th minute for his team-leading six goal of the season to put the Pioneers up early 1-0.
• The Mountain Lions struck with back-to-back goals in the 77th and 80th minute to upend the Pioneers.
• Against Wheeling, a goal right after the first half was the decider as Wheeling's Antonio Herra-Blackwood found the back of the net in the 46th minute for the eventually game winner.
