Pioneers Wrap Up Play at MEC Golf Championship
DANIELS, W.Va. – The Point Park men's and women's golf teams wrapped up play at the 2024 Mountain East Conference Championships on Tuesday afternoon from the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia.
Tharcisse Kalinda shot eleven-over-par to wrap up the tournament on Tuesday morning. He finished the day with a two on the par-three 13th hole, while also shooting par on 10 other holes. He shot a +5 during Monday's first round.
Gabriela Wait finished with a +27 during Tuesday's second round to wrap up play in the tournament. She finished Monday's first round at +26.
Following 36 holes, the MEC Championship cuts to the top six teams and top three individuals for Wednesday's final round at Glade Springs.
Kalinda and Wait will play in Wednesday's consolation event, which will begin at 12 noon.
