MEC Announces Men's Golf Preseason Poll
PITTSBURGH – Following a vote of the league's head coaches, Point Park was slotted 10th in the Mountain East Conference Preseason Men's Golf Poll, the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
The 2024 season will be the first for Point Park men's golf as a member of the Mountain East Conference, as the University enters year one of the NCAA Division II membership process.
Last April, Point Park placed sixth out of 12 schools at the River States Conference Championship, which was played at the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, West Virginia. Additionally, the Pioneers placed first at the Washington & Jefferson Invitational and second at the Mercyhurst Invitational last spring.
The 2024-25 season gets underway on Wednesday, September 18 as Point Park travels to the California (PA) Invitational at Cedarbrooke Golf Course. The MEC Men's Golf Championship is slated for Oct. 7-9 at The Resort at Glade Springs on the Cobb Course.
