Loughry named RSC Men's Golf of the Week after victories at Grove City, Earlham

MIDDLETOWN, Ohio -- Troy Loughry from Point Park (Pa.) University won River States Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for Sept. 11-17.

A junior from Grove City, Pa., Loughry won two tournaments on the week to claim the award. Playing 54 holes on the week, he was a combined 2-over. Loughry won at Grove City with an even-par 72. He followed that up shooting 3-under 68 in the first round at Earlham on his way to a win there as well. He shot 76 in the final round for a two-shot victory.

Now through three tournaments since transferring from Butler County CC, Loughry has two victories and a fourth-place finish at California (Pa.). He is a combined 5-over par in the six rounds of the fall season so far. His play this past week led the Pioneers to their highest team finishes in five years.
