Ainembabazi, Jhawar, and Smith named to NABC Men's Honors Court Team
PITTSBURGH Pa. – On Monday, July 15, 2024, the National Association of Basketball Coaches released the NABC Honors Court which featured Point Park men's basketball players Darren Ainembabazi, Jags Jhawar, and Jamisen Smith.
The NABC Honors Court honors junior, senior, and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2023-24 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher from all levels of college basketball. Over 2,100 players earned spots on the NABC Honors Court.
"The NABC is proud to celebrate these accomplished student-athletes, along with the coaches and staff who champion success in the classroom," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is a core value of the NABC, and the teams and athletes who earned these awards are proof that academic achievement remains a priority across every level of our sport."
Head Coach Kevin Reynolds had to say, "DA, Jags, and Jamisen had a great year academically. It is nice to see them be honored for their excellence, diligence, and dedication in the classroom. Our program is very proud of them!"
Ainembabazi is a junior guard from London, England currently pursuing his B.S. in Business Management: International Business.
Jhawar is a senior center from Punjab, India who recently graduated with his B.S. in Business Management.
Smith is a graduate guard from Indianapolis, Indiana who is currently pursuing his MBA from Point Park.
