Bio

Rocky Capobianco is in his 14th year on the Point Park baseball coach staff. He is the top assistant for the Pioneers as Associate Head Coach, a title he has had the last eight years. Capobianco assists in all aspects of the program with the primary responsbility of serving as the Pioneers' first-base coach, recruiting coordinator and working with the team's outfielders.

Capobianco, who played for the Pioneers from 2006-07 as an outfielder and pitcher, has had a conference Gold Glove outfielder under his tutelage every year of his time as an assistant coach. He has also coached numerous all-conference players and an NAIA Gold Glove winner Demetrius Moorer (2015) in the outfield.

Capobianco is a native of Penn Hills, Pa., outside of Pittsburgh. He started his college baseball career at Marietta (Ohio) College, where he was a part of an NCAA Division III national championship as a sophomore. In 2016, he was inducted into the Penn Hills Sports Hall of Fame, where he still resides today, for his accomplishments.
