Women's Soccer Hosts West Virginia Wesleyan on Family Day

PITTSBURGH – The Point Park women's soccer team will host West Virginia Wesleyan in its Family Day Game on Sunday afternoon at Highmark Stadium. Kickoff is set for 12 noon in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Pioneers come into the game with a record of 2-5-3 overall and 1-4-1 in league play. Point Park is 2-1-1 in its last four games.

The Bobcats enter Sunday's game with a record of 4-4-2 overall and 2-3-2 in league play. The Bobcats are currently fourth in the South Division standings.

Storylines

  • Point Park dropped a 6-2 final against south-division leading West Virginia State on Wednesday evening in Institute.
  • Jurnee Durrett-Finney and Vanessa Vazquez netted goals for the Pioneers.
  • In last Sunday's 2-2 draw against Glenville State, Vazquez scored in the 85th minute to help Point Park earn the draw. Martina Cardemil also netted a goal at GSU.
